I Was Once a Dinosaur

Matt and Isaac have been playing music together for a long time now. They're first band 'SNiB' was a hardcore punk band formed in 2009. After several line up and style changes they eventually settled as 'Far From Innocent' playing hardcore music with heavy influences. Matt left this band in 2011 to pursue his solo project 'I Was Once A Dinosaur' which lasted for a couple of months before Isaac joined to create the duo. They wanted to create something original and different. They loved the idea of creating music with the energy of hardcore punk on acoustic instruments and finding it almost impossible to write serious lyrics they developed a comedic element to the act. 'IWOAD' performed live for the first time at Paston Sixth Form's acoustic evening on the 19th October 2011 playing a few pop punk covers. Soon after they got another gig opportunity playing on the same bill as Matt's Dad's band and since then they have just been taking every opportunity they can to perform, whether it be support slots for bigger bands or playing in someones back garden.
